40 seems to be a magic dividing line for athletes at any level, in any
sport.
As someone who has been pumping iron since his thirties, I can tell you that
now, approaching 50, it's much harder to get lean, harder to get stronger, and
harder to stay injury-free. Still, it can be done.
Since this is a personal website, I'd like to share some personal tips for
staying fit and strong.
Exercise is not the whole prescription for fitness over 40. I discovered,
almost too late, that good nutrition is perhaps even more important. As someone
who was on a fast track towards having a heart attack in his forties, and having
now completely reversed that situation, I would like to tell you about what
helped me.
And after all these years in the gym, I'd also like to share some
"secrets of iron."
